Sustainability at dpa
As a company, dpa assumes a multi-layered responsibility towards society. This includes not only the provision of independent and fact-based news, but also acting sustainably at all levels. In doing so, dpa is focusing on social, ecological, and economic fields of action (People, Planet, Prosperity). This is the first sustainability report.
dpa’s sustainability process, which was launched in mid-2022, focuses on reducing and offsetting the company's carbon footprint, on protecting nature and the environment, on the areas of new work, employee development, and diversity, and on responsible business conduct overall. The broader focus is on green IT, health and wellbeing in the workplace, as well as data protection and cybersecurity.

The report was prepared on the basis of the GRI index (Global Reporting Initiative). In addition to facts and figures, the sustainability report offers contributions from employees and managers on various topics.
An essential component is a CO2 analysis. The basis for this is the core company dpa GmbH. Employees at the Hamburg, Berlin, Frankfurt, Düsseldorf, Munich and Stuttgart locations were surveyed.
